The GISC staff utilizes the center's state-of-the-art computer networks and telecommunications links to connect with high-demand experts from around the globe.  Innové leveraged these resources, combining tools and processes to integrate the experts, allowing them to work together in groups effectively and efficiently. 

Systems Integration

Innové's primary responsibility is to provide an integrated environment for facilitating the rapid, non-traditional problem-to-solution process.  We refine the perceived need into a valid requirement based on continuing interviews with the customer and technical engineering discussions with service providers, parse the various capabilities needed to create the desired end-state into subsystems and components, and generate specific requests to technical services providers in order to procure or create the needed subsystems or components.

We then integrate the required functionality throughout the development cycle, providing updates to customers and further refinement of directives, document milestones and obstacles to completion, and support design synthesis and system validation.  We continue to monitor creatively both before and after initial fielding to identify further enhancements that may satisfy future needs before the customer perceives them.

Innové's support has spanned more than 100 projects, including those involved with war on terror operations, force protection, cyber mission analysis, and counter-WMD and counter-IED analysis deterrence.

Integration Platforms

Innové supports over 150 users through 230 pages on project Extranet, SharePoint and external Web sites for GISC's Partnership, Innovation and Strategy Groups. These collaboration-enabling sites provide a single, integrated location where project teams can analyze and view data, maintain task lists, create and manage reports, and create workflows to automate and streamline processes.  They facilitate informal and extemporaneous exchanges, and help teams find and share critical information across boundaries, enabling better-informed decision-making in short order.
